Sorry for the delay getting back to you — I know it's been a couple of weeks. Things have been busy on our side.

Si el recruiter se queda en silencio, espera al plazo que te dieron y, a partir de ahí, escribe cada cinco o siete días laborables en dos líneas: “Hi [nombre], just checking in on the [puesto] role — where do things stand? Happy to wait, I'd just like to keep my timeline clear”. Tras un rechazo, pide algo pequeño y concreto: “Any feedback from the technical round would really help me”.

Respuesta modelo en inglés

No problem, thanks for getting back to me. I mainly wanted to check where things stand and whether the timeline has moved — I've got another process going, so I'd rather be straight with you about it. And if you've decided to go in a different direction, that's completely fine; I'd just really appreciate any feedback from the technical round.

I'd like to keep my timeline clear”), no dolido.

  • Escribir «I'm still waiting for your answer». Suena a reproche; lo neutro es «Just checking in» o «Where do things stand?».
  • Traducir «quedo a la espera» como «I stay waiting». No existe: se dice «I'll wait to hear from you».
  • Decir «You didn't say me anything».

«Where do things stand?» es la fórmula neutra; «Why didn't you answer me?» cierra la puerta.

También te la pueden hacer así

  • Sorry for the delay — things have been busy on our side.
  • Apologies for the silence, we're still working through candidates.
  • Thanks for your patience — we don't have an update yet.
  • We're still finalizing things internally, I'll come back to you.
